Biggest Disappointments Of E3 2017
A strong candidate for Best of E3 last year, Horizon: Zero Dawn followed the prototypical formula. After showing a hands-off demo at E3 2015, the developers at Guerrilla Games put the controllers in the hands of E3 attendees and proved to them that the game is real. It was in that hands-on demo that Horizon really solidified as a special experience. Most of all, Horizon: Zero Dawn is exactly the type of game that some would argue E3 needs more of: original IPs that are not afraid to take chances. Hats off to Guerrilla for doing something differ
Tomas: This is where my one problem with what we played of Sea of Thieves arose. While Noah, Logan, and Azario manned the ship, I was tasked with guarding the chest, as it supposedly could sabotage us on our way back. Unfortunately, this never happened so I was just stuck standing around the last couple minutes of our demo. I am worried that there will be periods in the game where certain crew members won’t have anything to do, making the experience realistic, albeit boring for t
But didn't it seem like Microsoft was protesting a little too much about just having too much other stuff to showcase to make time for VR? E3 2017 really brings out the gaming community's optimism, after all, and more than a few people thought Microsoft's strict no VR policy was a red herring for a big announcement to come during E3 week. Sadly, Microsoft was simply telling the truth about its intentions for E3 2017, and there was nary a rumor regarding Microsoft VR by the time the show floor had empt
Developer Bluehole announced that it's hit MMO, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds , will be available first on the Xbox One. Built in Unreal Engine 4, the game allows you to direct your anger at other players by setting them ablaze or by unloading round after round of bullets into your oppone
E3 2017 has come and gone, and gamers are suitably excited about the upcoming calendar year. Nintendo unveiled the release date of Super Mario Odyssey , a game that could rival Breath of the Wild in terms of how drastically it will reinvigorate its franchise, while Microsoft finally dished on its new console, the Xbox One X , previously known as Project Scorpio. Although there weren't any earth-shattering announcements made by any of the video game industry's major players, E3 2017 was largely a success based on the quality of the games that were put on display and the amount of titles that will be arriving within the next six mon
The addition of harpoon guns brings some exciting possibilities for underwater combat and maneuvering: it's a great shark deterrent (as it's likely gunpowder-based weapons won't be usable under water post-beta), and also brings the possibility that pirates will be able to attach themselves to opposing ships via the harpoons and potentially sneak up the sides. Of course, that's not the only new weapon to watch out for. The boarding axe, heavy sword, rapier, flintlock pistol, and blunderbuss will also be featured in the full version of Sea Of Thieves Voyages|Https://Seaofthievespedia.Com/ of Thiev
Microsoft opened up the press conference by showing a reel that intimately showcased the company's newly engineered Xbox console officially revealed as Xbox One X by head-honcho Phil Spencer, with excited applause from eager attendees. __ Technical specifications were furnished, confirming Microsoft's eager direction to bring the company's most powerful console to your home with a multitude of games that will undoubtedly take advantage of it's hulking hardw
This one comes with the caveat that nobody really expected Microsoft to have a VR presentation anyways, as the company had attempted to make it very clear that it had no intentions of focusing on Microsoft VR technology when it had a lot of games to show and a new console to finally unv
Undead Labs has revealed that it plans to release new details about State of Decay 2 at this year’s E3, but in the meantime has released a handful of screenshots and a reveal trailer that show how much the developer has learned these last few years. It’s obvious the sequel will incorporate many of the features gamers loved about State of Decay , while also injecting new features that players have been asking for since the first game in the series released. There’s little doubt State of Decay 2 will be one of Xbox’s most successful exclusives this y
While the closed beta only features sharks and skeletons as AI-controlled enemies, the datamine reveals a wider variety of enemies and creatures, some of which have already been featured in trailers for the game . The data implies that the full game will feature bats, chickens, fish, parrots, pigs, seagulls, sharks, and snakes. It's not currently known if parrots will be tamable, allowing pirates to mount a feathered companion on their shoulders as they guzzle down some grog. The datamine also reveals that mermaids will not always be friendly like they are in the beta, and that the Kraken will wrap its tentacles around the ship in a manner which will likely require the crew to work together quickly in order to surv
