CD Projekt Red was able to do something that many developers wish to achieve: make a card game within their game that's fun enough for people to invest hundreds of hours into. From the Witcher games, Gwent was born and is one of the biggest deck-building virtual card games out there. Today, March 8, Gwent received its 8.3 update . Here's the full list of Gwent patch no

these details things just make Night City all the more interesting as a fictional place. It is the perfect setting for a game such as Cyberpunk 2077 , where the stories told are harsh and encounters with corrupt, powerful people are frequent. However, not that many players may know most of what needs to be known about this fascinating city. It's one of the most ambitious places that developer CD Projekt Red has ever created and there are so many small details and secrets to be found in Cyberpunk 2077 's urban landsc

'Anti-consumer' is a phrase used a lot in gaming, and not always accurately. It's not anti-consumer that Nintendo doesn't support Smash Melee tournaments, for example, and while locking story content behind DLC is awfully money grubbing, I'm not sure it's technically 'anti-consumer'. Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 undoubtedly is, however. It's a PS4 game being sold on PS4 while the PS4 makers tell you not to play it on the PS4. I know we're all bored of talking about Cyberpunk 2077 by now, but this seems to be sneaking under the radar. It's disgraceful that our industry allows it, and it's a worrying sign of the growing divide between the players and the suits out to make a quick b

Speaking of missions, the plethora of fixes that have come out since the game launched are more than welcome and quite overdue. All manner of mission glitches abounded, to the frustration of countless play

There was so much excitement surrounding Fallout 76 , as all of the marketing leading up to the game made it look like one of the most exciting open worlds ever found in an RPG where choices really mattered . But the end result fell short of expectati

The game was a buggy mess, and in the first week of its release, FO76 had two updates larger than the game itself . And that wasn’t even the worst part. Fans spent top dollar on the Power Armor Editions, which were supposed to come with a burlap backpack, but what fans got instead was a flimsy bag made out of Teflon that barely held toget

One of the biggest selling points of Cyberpunk 2077 leading up to its release was just how involved Keanu Reeves was. Cyberpunk is one of the many video games Reeves has appeared in , but he’s never been so associated with a game than he has with 2077 . In the game, Reeves plays Johnny Silverhand, has long dark locks, and wears a black vest. One gamer hilariously created a character in Skate 3 that looks almost identical to Silverh

With it's ability to completely remove a dimension of the game, Lockdown was a problematic ability. While it could serve as meta control like we saw against Viy after the 8.0 patch, it could also be abused more widely like in the previous meta, and would easily oppress off-meta fun decks, something players have complained about since way before it became a meta p

Updated on October 4, 2023, by Ritwik Mitra: CD Projekt Red turned things around for Cyberpunk 2077 in a way that not many people could've foreseen. Almost all the bugs and glitches that ruined someone's playthrough were axed, while the poorly-thought-out support for last-gen consoles was axed with the 2.0 update and the introduction of Phantom Liberty. Fans were glad to see the studio come back to greatness once again, and exploring Night City continues to be a blast. This city's history is quite rich and something that people will love to uncover once they fall in love with this sprawling settlement, with brand-new additions thanks to the release of Phantom Libe

Outrage is pretty common in gaming, and it feels wrong to be encouraging it, especially around a game as toxic as Cyberpunk 2077. For the record, I don’t care for the game. While it would have been fascinating to see how the game itself and the discourse around it would have been different if it came out bug free, it still would have had its issues. Bugs or no, Cyberpunk 2077 is a game with a very binary perspective on gender that trades on a mostly superficial view of trans people , a horribly misogynistic view of women and sex workers , fridges one of its strongest female characters, and contained a (now patched out) racist m

Night City is more of a unique case, however. It is the only territory that officially owns the title of "Free City." It is officially not part of any state, nor does it belong to any country. Night City is its own entity, and by 2077, it is mostly run by the Arasaka megacorporat

As Haze was developed by Free Radical Design, who created the beloved Timesplitters series, there was so much hype surrounding their new IP. Unfortunately, the terrible quality of the game led to a poor sales performance, which subsequently led to the closure of Free Radical Design, which was a genuinely great comp
