Beyond Michael Myers' abilities, Dead by Daylight 's latest trailer for its Halloween DLC also details the new survivor Laurie Strode's skill set. Firstly, she has a perk called "Last Survivor," giving her a much better chance at staying alive by making her harder to find when other characters are killed. Secondly, she has a move called "Decisive Strike," letting Laurie stab Michael Myers with whatever she can find nearby when he picks her up, freeing her from his grasp if it's successful. Laurie's final perk is "Object of Obsession," giving her the power to sense the killer's aura if he makes players his Obsess

Ever since Dead by Daylight announced it would be adding a new Halloween DLC pack inspired by the famous John Carpenter film, fans of the title have been eagerly anticipating any additional news regarding the expansion. As previously announced, the pack of add-ons is set to include Michael Myers as the new killer, Laurie Strode as a new survivor, as well as a new map of Haddonfield. For runners to succeed, it needs to be a team effort. There are three different types of runners: those that support other runners with healing boosts and the like, those whose job is to distract the hunter and lure them away and those tasked with confronting the hunter with tools that can slow them down. Each one has their own unique set of skills, but they have to be unlocked by finding upgrade points tucked away around the arena (which they then have to take a station), along with health, ammo and other points of interest. Upon discovery, runners can fire arrows at them to mark these areas of importance for the others, highlighting them with a glow that all runners can see. It's simple yet clever stuff,and easily encourages everyone to study the battlefield quickly. Plus, zipping around it with rather agile moves is always fun.

Deathgarden is still in the alpha stages and a lot of its world and characters still have yet to be developed, but so far it seems like a burst of fun that could work. There are a few issues to be ironed out (gathering enough ammo for runners is a bit tricky), but the five-on-one gameplay works quite nicely, with both sides being vastly different yet feeling equally powerful, providing the opportunity for a lot of strategy. No release window has been announced for Deathgarden yet, but odds are that there will be a lot more opportunities for alpha and beta tests in the near future, so stay tuned for any further info on this impressive multiplayer mayhem.


Finally, the Demogorgon will receive the perks Surge, Cruel Limits, and Mindbreaker. Surge blows up any generator in range when the Killer takes down a Survivor. The generator also becomes regressed instantly. Cruel Limits blocks vaulting for all Survivors in range of a generator when it gets fixed. Mindbreaker add an Exhaustion Status effect to Survivors while they repair a generator. The effect pauses during the actual repairing but starts over at the end of a repair act
