In 2015, Undertale launched on PC after a surprisingly successful Kickstarter campaign two years earlier. Immediately people caught wind that this was a very special sort of RPG. Since then, the game has made its way beyond PC to PS4 and PS Vita. As part of that move to consoles came six new physical editions produced by Fangamer. Spanning the PC, PS4 and PS Vita versions, it came in a Standard and Collector’s Edition. As might be expected, the Standard Edition at $25 offered a copy of the game itself. Plunking down $64 for the Collector’s Edition is where Fangamer’s talents at producing themed merchandise came into play.

As I mentioned before, the slot of the donation box is only big enough to fit one coin each. Mass donations had to be done one gold piece at a time, merely standing in place and spamming the X button. After the box filled up, you left to find what ridiculous item they bought with the money. A wacky inflatable arm-flailing tube man for 6G? Sure. A short piece of string with no use for 22G? Awesome. How about "blueprints" that was just click the next website a white piece of paper with blue paw-prints on it for 35G? Also there. Literally another piece of the same string for 40G? C

Is this edition worth it for $64? If not for the golden locket, they would be asking for way too much money for what amounts to a fairly standard collection (game, soundtrack, art card). The locket steps things up, however, and is almost certainly a must have for serious fans. Since this isn't a common addition to a special edition, it's hard to even grasp what it's actually worth. Maybe these music box mechanisms are super cheap, but it's a cool collectible. Folks who don't want the cute locket should feel free to pick up the Standard Edition instead. It’s a lot cheaper and still offers a copy of Undertale you can place on your shelf.

While I doubt there will be any roguelike elements to any of the varying genres of the games within Travis Strikes Again , I think it'd be a really cool one for Suda51 to experiment with. If that were the case, I think Derek Yu could help bring a certain amount of charm and expertise to the genre, considering that Spelunky is quite possibly one of the best roguelike games of all t

Above all else, the one thing I credit Toby for with Undertale is the game's writing. While I'm unsure if anyone other than Suda51 himself would like to write the dialogue for Travis Strikes Again , I think it'd be funny to squeeze a pun or two into the game written by Toby himself. If that doesn't work, then maybe we could at the very least get an original song from Toby to somehow be included in Travis Strikes Again . And for the record, yes, I am listening to the Undertale soundtrack for like the thousandth time this week as I write t

The outer cardboard box itself is simplistic. It features a neat color coating on top of the black cardboard which showcases some town pixel art. Otherwise, though, it’s a subdued outer cover which teases what's inside thanks to the heart-shaped cutout. Once opened up there are some cooler goodies to look forward to. The first thing you see upon sliding out the box is a lovely 14k gold-plated brass locket (which also happens to be a mini music box). This is the stand-out item of the set and makes a fantastic first impression. Spinning the crank on the back brings the music box to life. You can watch the mechanism run while the locket is opened or close it and simply enjoy the melody.

Flash forward to last weekend; I've got nothing on my plate outside of a looming review for Dead Cells and South Park's Bring the Crunch DLC , so maybe I pick up a game that is an easy Platinum. Undertale tops that list, with popular PSN profile analyzer PSNProfiles noting that 53% of registered members with the game have picked up that trophy, and 21% of all PS4 owners globally. Sure, it's no My Name is Mayo , but it hit all my check marks. Even better, the trophy guide let me know that this was a game you didn't need to prepare for, just play as you usually wo

Pokémon Sword & Shield won't be the first time that Toby Fox composed music for a Nintendo game , nor is it the first time that he has worked with Game Freak. Fox recently composed the entire soundtrack for Little Town Hero, which was an RPG for Nintendo Switch that was released earlier in October. Little Town Hero was one of Game Freak's rare non- Pokémon titles and the fact that Fox was asked to work on it had already led to speculation that he would also contribute music to Pokémon Sword & Shi

There are other people just like me who play PS4 who are just as addicted to their Trophy collection as I am. There are people just like me that check Trophy guides and optimized playthroughs before starting a new game. There are people just like me who live and die by the Trophy notification popping up on the screen. At least, that's what I told myself. That was before Toby Fox's Undertale port for PS4 broke me and my spi
